Recent reviews:
“The human-animal bond has quite a storied past but perhaps fewer stories can match that of Rikki . . . It is her work with child abuse victims, however, that is her most important . . . offering them a calming presence in a difficult — and heartbreaking — situation.” – Chicago Tribune
“In Encounters with Rikki, author Julie Strauss Bettinger paints a detailed portrait of an exceptionally-gifted therapy dog named Rikki… you’ll come away from it with a renewed appreciation for the power of the human-canine bond.” – Animal Wellness magazine

Book Signing with Jim Harvey, Author of Grayton Beach Affair: February 16, 2015, 10:00am – Noon
Visit The Blue Giraffe to secure an autographed copy of Grayton Beach Affair, a novel of a covert mission set in Grayton Beach during WWII. Meet the author of this thrilling tale that paints a vivid picture of life in Walton County in the 1940’s. For more details, call 850-231-5112.
Jim Harvey spent his childhood in the Florida Panhandle and South Alabama. Today, he splits his time between Santa Rosa Beach and North Georgia. He became fascinated with stories of how German U-boats roamed the Gulf of Mexico during WWII. This interest motivated him to pen a novel based in Grayton Beach in WWII. A deadly covert mission unfolds as the German-born Christian Wolfe navigates dark war games while falling in love.
